The “Life of Christ” painting, came from what some would consider a personal tragedy. In 1960 Jackson had just recovered from a heart attack when a stroke came and left him paralyzed. While in the hospital he made a commitment that if the Lord would allow him to get up out of that bed he would paint, in thanksgiving for his survival and recovery, his personal memorial to Jesus.
The Life of Christ Painting is the largest oil painting Cyclorama of it’s kind in the world ! The painting is eleven feet tall and one thousand feet long. Eleven thousand square feet of artwork by artist “Jackson Bailey” .
The painting tells the true life story of Jesus in fifty five major scenes from His time on earth.
Done in brilliant Rembrandt Oils and painted on heavy Belgium Linen Canvas, Jackson spent ten years completing this masterpiece. Seven years of research, working with special envoys, led to the Historical and Geographic accuracy endorsed by the Israeli Government.
